Sunday Currently - April 26 v.28

It's the last Sunday in April, can you believe it? Usually I find months to go by fast, however, I have found that April has gone by a little more slower than usual. It's probably because this was my first full month back at a home and having a land job. It's just getting used to everything that has probably made it drag on.

Hope everyone had a great week and weekend. My week/end was great, minus the few days of snow, rain and hail .. but other than that, it was great. So now, on to this weeks post ...

SMELLING: My baking that I did this morning

Sunday Currently - April 19 v.27

Another Sunday is here and "the sun is shining, I'm positive"; that's right! I was fortunate enough to have another Saturday and Sunday off but that's only going to last for about two more weeks and then my days off will be Wednesday and Thursday. Here's to another good week, hopefully :)

C U R R E N T LY

READINGDark Places by Gillian Flynn - I started brining it with me to work so I can read it on my lunch break. Makes the hour go by faster

WRITING: This edition of TSC

MUSIC: Song(s) of the moment - Honey, I'm good by Adam Grammer and Come With Me - The Kongos

LISTENING:  Deep Blue Sea

GUILTY PLEASURE:  This week, double chocolately chip frapp from Starbucks

THINKING: I have taken two days off from the gym this week and my days don't feel complete without. Never thought I would be saying that.

NAIL COLOR: Not sure what color I'm going to wear this week but I am thinking something nice and bright!

SMELLING: My ginger peach tea

DRINK: Ginger peach tea

FOOD:
I made these amazing banana muffins this morning which I think I will be making every Sunday from now on. The recipe is so easy and all they contain are: oats, almond milk, unsweetened apple sauce, bananas, vanilla and cinnamon. They are perfect for an on-the-go snack, pre or post workout and for dessert.

HOPING: That I am able to see Fast and Furious 7 or True Story this week and for a good week at work and in the gym

TV SHOW: Still working my way through Season 8 of Bones.

WEARING: Comfortable pajama pants and my Jacksonville, FL hoodie

LOVING: That I made it through week two of clean eating and being in the gym. It may not seem like much for me, this is a good thing. I usually don't last longer than a week but this time I am feeling much better about this and I am keeping my positive attitude. I know I won't see any results for a while, but any progress is better than nothing

WISH LIST: For a full day of sleep

NEEDING: To finish the laundry and continue prepping meals for the week

BLESSING: Everyone and everything in my life

FEELING: A little bit on the tired side today. Yesterday it seemed like everything hit me all at once and I felt absolutely exhausted both physically and mentally.

CLICKING: Keyboard

EXCITEMENT:  To get back into the gym tomorrow - again, weird, I know!

Enjoy your week everyone! :)

Five on Friday

It's time for another edition of FOF while linking up with A Liz Adventures

ONE
Tomorrow is THE DAY! 2015 NBA Playoffs begin and our first game is against the Wizards. I have a feeling this will be a great round and we will advance far this year! WE THE NORTH!

TWO
The other day while browsing my Twitter feed, I came across a post that said Tim Hortons will now be serving Nutella products until June. EXCUSE ME, WHAT?! I am not a huge Nutella fan, however, combine it with an unhealthy donut, I may just try it. Well ... today I did and let me tell you, it was the BEST idea Tim Horton's has ever had, since the Iced Capp (honestly). I really hope they decide to keep these as a permanent menu item. They're just too good to stop making.

THREE
I am loving this weather lately, even though I am inside most of the day. However, when I'm outside walking the dogs, they can take their sweet old time, I don't mind at all. Even though it's difficult for me to get up in the mornings, finishing work at 3:30pm and having the rest of the night ahead, plus the nice weather, is a great feeling.

FOUR
My FitTea 28 Day Detox tea arrived today, finally! I have tried a different teatox before, it worked, however, I have been seeing this all over the place and reading a lot of positive reviews, so I thought I would try it. It doesn't hurt to try something. I think this time with my work out routine and my better eating habits, I may have better results with this one than I did with the other one. I'll let you guys know how it works :)

Staying Put ...

... for now.

If you guys have been reading some of my posts lately, you may have seen me mention something about having to make up my mind whether or not I was going to stay home or head out for another contract. Last week, I decided that for right now, it was in my best interest to stay home and not head out. I was supposed to fly out to New Orleans yesterday but after being offered a full time job in MY FIELD and having that "it feels right" feeling, I knew I had to stay.

We are allowed to take up to six months off, so I haven't made a permanent decision on whether or not I'll be hanging up my flippers and laying down the anchor at home. I'm just going to see how things go at home and then re-evaluate in a month. It's a little bit difficult to find a full time job in my field around my home town. All the jobs are in places where I am not within driving distance or am I ready to make the move yet. I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason and I think that is why this is happening .. sort of like, a sign, so to speak.

Last week was my first full week and it went great. The hours are 6:30 am - 3:30 pm so even though my alarm goes off at 4:30 am and I am NOT a morning person, I get to spend my days with dogs and cats AND I get evenings off. I'm also starting to fall into a routine which I am LOVING. Get up, breakfast, ready for work, go to work, go to the gym right after work, home, eat, shower and bed ... REPEAT. Working on a ship, you had a little routine, but things would never seem to work to your advantage and something would always come up. Not like that can't happen on land, but it's so much nicer knowing what you're doing so you can plan around it. This routine is also nice since I have started back into the gym and clean eating, it just makes it that much easier.

I feel a bit better now knowing that I have somewhat of an idea of what I am doing, I just need to make a final decision within the next month so we'll see how things go because if there is one thing I learned from ship life, just go with the flow ...

Sunday Currently - April 12 v.26

Well, it's Sunday which means it's back to the work week tomorrow. Weekends seem to go by a lot faster when you have an actual full time job, doesn't it? As of May 1st, my weekends will be on Wednesday and Thursday, BUT, thanks to ship life, I think I can still pull off having a Friday night out and heading into work for 6:30am the next morning. Hopefully ...

So What Wednesday [9]

It's hummppp day, which means my week is almost coming to an end! I just wish the weather would co-operate. My 12 hour day is finally finished and what better way to wind down and relax with a little post.

This week I'm saying SO WHAT IF...

I have made some decisions people do not agree with

➜ I can never wake up on time, EVER!

➜ April showers bring May flowers. Sometimes it's nice to have a little rain because then you don't feel so bad for being stuck inside working all day

➜ My current obsession is Arctic Zero ice cream! If you are trying to watch what you eat and lose weight, BUT have that sweet tooth sometimes, THIS my friends, is the CURE! It is gluten free, lactose free, GMO free and 35-75 calories per serving! You're welcome ...

A to Z

5:00 am Monday morning comes way too fast! That was my thought this morning as I had to crawl out of bed and get ready for work. I'm lucky to be in a field that I absolutely LOVE because nothing and no one can usually get me out of bed that early.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. Mine was super busy, hence the lack of posts, but now it's back to the work week and the usual business. I'm slowly but surely starting to get into a routine, which is nice. The ONLY complaint I have so far of my current schedule, it doesn't leave me with my prime time workout option. I love to work out usually late at night when there is a good chance no people are going to be there. Now with this schedule, I'll have to suck it up and go when it's somewhat busy during the day. Oh well, no pain no gain, right?

Anyways ... I came across this post and thought it was a cute idea and while I am drinking my Sleep Well tea from Teavana (works wonders!) and trying to wind down before I head to bed, I thought I would write it for myself.

So What Wedneday [8]

HAPPY APRIL 1ST and of course, April Fools! I did not play any jokes nor did I have any played on me! My brother thought I did of course, but nope, I was being serious .. seriously blonde during that moment!

I am switching up my Wednesday post to SWW as I miss writing this one and I thought I could use a different one, as I was kind of getting bored with the usual one.

This week I'm saying SO WHAT IF ..

➜ I am looking forward to getting back on track with a lot of things

➜ We watch every Leafs game in this house even though they are probably the worst team in the league right now ...

➜ I cannot keep my room clean for more than 24 hours. It's clean and then I have to find something to wear ...

➜ I have a major decision to make by the end of this week!!

What are you saying So What to this week ..
