so what wednesday [16]

Can you believe it's the last Wednesday in June? It feels like June just started yesterday and now we're on our long weekend in July. Time really does fly ...

This week. I'm saying SO WHAT if ...

➡  I had a LITTLE freak out about getting my medical results in the mail due to a possible Canada Post strike. If those results were stuck in the mail system during the strike, I would have had a cow. LUCKILY, they arrived in the mail today and now I am just waiting for the results to be approved and then I get my ship assignment !!

➡  I have gone back to adult coloring. It really is a great stress reliever.

➡ I am in the mood to lay on the couch and watch my "comfort movies" for a day? There is nothing wrong with that.

➡ I wish Shark Week was Shark Month.

My week has been kind of boring so there isn't much for me to write today. Hopefully I will have some good news and a ship assignment by the end of the week.

What are you saying SO WHAT to this Wednesday?

sunday currently - june 26 v.46

When I woke up this morning, I was looking forward to sitting down with my cup and tea and laptop to write this post. I don't know why, but I have found this blog to be a wonderful outlet these last few weeks. Even though I may forget some days or not write something everyday, but when I do, I have found such comfort in it.

Here is this week's edition of TSC.

C U R R E N T L Y ...

READING: Still haven't been able to pick up a book but I am definitely on the hunt for Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. I have heard nothing but amazing reviews so next time I'm in a bookstore, I am definitely making that purchase.

WRITING: This Sunday's edition of TSC

MUSIC: Song(s) of the moment - Still hung up on H.O.L.Y by Florida Georgia Line, Peter Pan by Ruth B

LISTENING: To the fan in my room and all the noises from outside my window

GUILTY PLEASURE: This past week it's definitely been iced caramel macchiatos

THINKING: That I better hurry up and get a ship assignment soon. Yes, I have made the decision to head back out to sea as I have had enough land life for a while and I feel like I need to "regroup" and what better way than that. There's three different ships I want because of their ports, and one ship I wouldn't mind because of who is on the team. I just hope it's sooner rather than later. FINGERS CROSSED people!

NAIL COLOR: Nothing at the moment ...

DRINK: Decaf orange pekoe tea

FOOD: Nothing right now

SMELLING: My air freshener from Bath & Body works but I forget the name of the scent

HOPING: For a ship assignment and to get out of this little funk I have been in

TV SHOW: Currently watching Grey's Anatomy still but I have started to watch Scream and it's been pretty interesting. ALSO, started to watch Season 2 of Bloodline and I was quickly reminded of how much I love that show

WEARING: Pajama pants and a tshirt - it's Sunday okay, it's allowed.

LOVING: That hopefully soon enough I will be back out on the open ocean. There is something so calming and peaceful about having nothing around you but the ocean. During my time out at sea, I have come to realize that the ocean is a powerful and scary thing, but it's also so beautiful and peaceful

WISH LIST: For someone to come and clean my room for me

NEEDING: To clean my room (ugh!) and maybe find something to eat

BLESSING: Everyone and everything that I have in my life

FEELING: Tired because I have been in such a rut these last few days/weeks, I can barely sleep.

CLICKING: Keyboard

EXCITEMENT: That this week is SHARK WEEK!!!!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! If any of you also write TSC, post your page as a comment as I would love to stop by and check it out :)

five on friday

Linking up with A Liz Adventures for this week's post of FOF.  All you have to do is post about five random things from your week and then link up on the website. You'll probably find some amazing blogs to follow/read as well :)

ONE
I have definitely over indulged on iced caramel macchiatos in the last few days. BUT, do you blame me?

TWO
My medical is finally done and now I am just playing the waiting game. Hopefully this time around it doesn't take them too long to approve it and I can be heading back out to the open ocean. As per usual, my nerves and feelings are kicking in. Ugh, good lord.

THREE
While browsing IMDB for something, which I happen to do a lot, I saw that they are making a movie after the book Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and it's a Tim Burton film. OMG I am so excited. First, the books are amazing and I could not put them down. Second, who doesn't love a good TB film? Third, Samuel L. is in the movie and I can not wait to see him pull off this role.

FOUR
It's that time of year again my friends. My ALL TIME FAVORITE week of the year. Yes, I love it even more than my birthday week and Christmas. SHARK WEEK!!!!

FIVE
The weather these last few nights has been amazing. You know when it's not too hot but not too chilly ... just perfect for patio drinks! I wish it could be like all year round, I really do.

What's everyone up to this weekend? Any exciting plans?

tomorrow ...

I will be getting my medical redone with the possibility of heading back to ships. I have been home for a little over a year and nothing has worked out for me. Maybe land life isn't for me .. or for me right now. Fingers crossed that tomorrow goes well and that I get offered some great ships. I have three in mind - two for locations/ports and one because I know a few people already on the team who I miss dearly and want to spend another six months with.

Until then ....

So What Wednesday [15]

Ugh, how is it only Wednesday? It feels like this week has been dragging on and on .... Anyways ...

This week, I'm saying SO WHAT if ...

➡ I have been eating pizza more than usual lately. Or should I say, more than I should be.

➡ I have added MTV's Scream to my never ending list of shows.

➡ I am TERRIFIED of some possible changes coming up.

➡ I would like to go back to the age where my biggest decision was what uniform pieces I was going to wear that day.

➡ I don't think land life is for me, at the moment. Updated post coming next ...

➡ I have an unhealthy addiction to coffee, iced coffee and plain old caffeine.

➡ I cry at every single episode of Grey's Anatomy - I mean, don't you?

➡ I have had two "panic attacks" and it's only Wednesday.

➡ I haven't been happy lately. I have accepted it and I am on the path to change that, hopefully.

Sorry for the somewhat depressing and sad post.

Where's that Monday motivation?

If anyone has some extra motivation for this week, PLEASE send it my way as I have no idea where mine went to! This is going to be a very long week and I am definitely dreaming about Friday already ... well, aren't we all? I start my new job on Wednesday and I am SO nervous. This position is something so outside of my "comfort zone" and anything I have ever don and the training is about 2 months, uhm what?!

I'm also completing some online courses so I can hopefully apply to a program in school later on. So between starting this new job and all the training, trying to complete and do well in these courses AND trying to fit my gym training in ... good lord, I'm going to need all the help I can get.

What do you guys do when you're feeling like you're lacking motivation?

Sunday Currently - June 12 v.45

Look, I didn't forget about today's post. I may have been a little excited last night, I wanted to post it then haha. Came home from vacation on Friday and now back to the real world and to get back on track with everything, including blogging. Still no link up for this post, but that isn't stopping me.

C U R R E N T L Y ...

READING: Haven't really read a good book lately, it's kind of been thrown on the back burner. I definitely have to try to get back into it before bed instead of looking at my phone.

WRITING: This Sunday's edition of TSC

MUSIC: Song(s) of the moment - H.O.L.Y by Florida Georgia Line, Send My Love (To Your New Lover) by Adele

LISTENING: To the television

GUILTY PLEASURE: I was on vacation this past week so I didn't track anything and if I wanted to have a treat, I had a treat. However, if I had to chose I would have to say iced coffee.

THINKING: Oh, I wouldn't even know where to begin right now. There are so many things on my mind it isn't even funny, probably why I am having trouble sleeping - as per usual.

NAIL COLOR: Break a Leg Warmer by O.P.I by Sephora

DRINK: Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee

FOOD: Oatmeal .. how exciting.

SMELLING: Nothing at all

HOPING: Just like with what I wrote for thinking, there are so many things I am hoping for but right now I would have to say just being able to get back into the swing of things and back into my routine. It's so difficult after being on vacation.

TV SHOW: Currently watching Grey's Anatomy & right beside would be a Kleenex box - damn you Shonda Rhimes, damn you!

WEARING: Pajama pants, tee shirt and a hoodie - typical attire aside from workout wear

LOVING: My Sephora purchases from the Mohegan Sun store. I never realized just how much more product American stores carry than the Canadian ones. AND, even with the exchange rate, still a heck of a lot cheaper. Purchased some Too Faced Melted Matte Lipstick in Sell Out and Queen B, Buxom Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick in Sultry Mauve and Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation. I would never normally spend that much on Foundation but I just had to and I was on vacation. Also, when you put it on, there was no way I could say no. Anndddd they were also out of my shade in Kat Von D's Lock It Foundation - of course.

WISH LIST: For many things right now

NEEDING: To unpack and do laundry, what else is new

BLESSING: Everyone and everything that I have in my life

FEELING: A little tired today and like I'm in a rut ..

CLICKING: Keyboard

EXCITEMENT: Brantley Gilbert in 25 days!!!

Enjoy your Sunday and your week :)
