So What Wednesday [4]

Linking up with Shannon and this week I'm saying "So what" if ....

➜ We went to the Mandarin for dinner tonight and I ate more dessert than actual food

➜ I have had enough shopping for a while. The last few shopping trips have been very stressful.

➜ I think airlines should change some rules and fees!

➜ I'm still on "AMC Fearfest" mode

➜ I am going through work withdrawal this weekend. It was my first weekend without work and it was definitely a little weird

➜ I think it's a little bit too early for Christmas songs and commercials

➜ I received my flight and hotel details today and I am getting MORE nervous

➜ I have had a mini breakdown this week - stress does that to me

Things I'm Not Good At

Some recent events have inspired me to write this blog entitled ....

➜ Remembering things!! In the last few days I have managed to lose 300$ worth of medication (glad I didn't have to pay for it!) and my health card. Luckily, I found the medication but I had no luck with the health card. Usually I am pretty good with remembering things, but lately, I have started to worry myself about the state of "memory"!

➜ Make up application - If I have to apply make up I use cover up, concealer, mascara and blush, thats it! Even when I go out for a night on the town, that's usually what I'm wearing. Everyone else has their make up all done up nicely and some times I really wish I could do that. I have tried doing it myself but it looks horrible. Maybe I'm just not used to the look and it actually does in fact look okay.

➜ Hair - Pin straight is the way I go. Every time I try to do something, it never stays. I can only remember it staying curly once for an Xmas party. Most of the time I think it's just because I'm not going anywhere special so I don't feel the need to do anything "fancy". Then when I look at pictures of friends or anyone who has their done up, I feel the need to expand my "hair horizons".

➜ Going outside my comfort zone. During my recent shopping trip, I had to buy a few dresses for my new job. I tried on a TON and my mom would compliment me on them and I wouldn't feel comfortable in them. We both agreed that it's because I'm not used to wearing "flattering" things - yoga pants and hoodies are my go-to pieces. I think taking this job will "force" me to go outside my comfort zone and I think I am ready for the change.

➜ Being patient and living for the now!

➜ Baking - It's a slow and steady progress but I am still learning.

➜ Sleeping!

➜ Sticking to diets or healthy eating - I really NEED to change this!!

Sunday Currently - Nov 3 v.12

Welcome to the first Sunday of November (my birthday month!). To me, October was here for a day or so and then left. A lot happened in October and now a new month is upon us and I welcome all the changes it will bring. As usual, I am linking up with Lauren.

Favorite Things - November Goals

First off, I am going to apologize for the all the posts that I have added today. I should really find a way to do them all at once - any suggestions on how to do that?

It is November 1 and that means it's time for me to set my monthly goals. This month might not have as many since I believe that these are huge goals in themselves. I am hoping I can stay on top of these while I am away but if I don't post about them, I will be writing them down and the posting on here when I get the chance. I find this is a very interesting and healthy thing for me to do.

// November Goals \\

Spend as much time with my family as I can before I leave

Pack as efficiently as I can

Find everything I need without a struggle

Have a good week or two training at my new job and be able to settle into "ship life" with ease

To know that I made the right decision with taking this job and it will be for the best in the end

Feel confident in performing the duties of my new job

Start using the gym on board

Make new friends from around the world

October Goals - Update

As I mentioned on my "Favorite Things" page, I was going to have monthly goals and then see which ones I was able to achieve. Here were my monthly goals and results for October:

// OCTOBER GOALS \\
Visit the pumpkin patch - Completed on October 18th

Read at least three novels - I completed two!

Lose one to three pounds and keep it off - Haven't kept it off :(

Eat healthier - I have been eating a little bit better. Slowly is better than not at all

Update my wardrobe - Again, another slow process but I'm getting there!

Have at least one candy apple - Completed October 19 and was DELICIOUS!

Collect Halloween candy, anyway - Took some from my mom yesterday!

Purchase some pumpkin flavored coffee - Definitely accomplished; thank you Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts!

Beat my brother in the pumpkin carving contest - He claims I didn't and my dad, who was the judge this year, liked both so maybe next year! Haha

Five on Friday - v.10

Hope everyone enjoyed their first day of November. Now that Halloween is over, I guess it's full swing into Christmas. I don't which is worse - the day after Halloween or the day after Christmas.

Linking up with A Liz Adventures for this weeks post.

O N E -- I finished up my last weekend and work and as I am sitting here writing this, it feels a little weird being home on a Friday night. My last shift was on Wednesday and afterwards, the group threw me a surprise going away party! It was so nice to see everyone there and I was so thankful for the party and for the lovely gift they were able to get me. I thought I would make it through my last shift without any tears and I was almost out of the door until one of my bosses came running out with the card I gave her. I knew why she was trying to find me and as soon as I saw her tears, then I started. I mean, the last six years these guys have been my second family. I will definitely miss each and every one of them!

T W O -- Halloween! This was the first year in a very long time that I did not dress up. Usually I work Halloween night and we dress up and then go out but this was the first year we didn't have a show and I was just so exhausted from running around all weekend, I just stayed home and had a horror movie marathon!

T H R E E -- My Free People O Maya Maxi came in sooner than expected!! It was a great way to start of this week. To my surprise, it fit great! It will have to be shortened, of course, but other than that, very impressed!

F O U R -- I FINALLY FOUND THEM!! I was on the hunt for these babies for a long time and then I was walking passed an aisle at Wal Mart and bam! there they were!! Best thing since sliced bread!! Next up, sugar cookie!

F I V E --

Enjoy your weekend!
