Reflection....
....On the past six years.
Tomorrow is my last day at work and these past few days, I can't help but reflect on everything in the last six years. I started this job when I was 18 and on a day off, I couldn't go see a show where I worked because it was a legal age event. When I first started, I was a shy girl who took some time to "get of her shell". After a while, I started to get to know everyone and I became the girl who would "never shut up" - well I am kidding but I definitely came out of my shell.
I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know 50+ people over the course of these six years. Some more than others, but all wonderful people nonetheless. Some left to pursue other careers and I always knew I would be one of those few. I always thought that I would be leaving because of a career job or I would have gone to a grad school out of town. Never did I think I would be leaving for this reason. It hasn't hit me yet but I think it will when this weekend I'm not getting up and putting on that "beautiful" uniform and watching concerts.
Each person I have met and basically grew up with has helped me become who I am today. I have learned many valuable things that I will take with me no matter where I go. Like every job, there were some negative things and negative lessons that I learned a long the way, but it wouldn't be interesting if it was all positive would it? My supervisors took some chances with me when they promoted me to a Dual Supervisor which really meant a lot to me because they had the faith that I could do the job with a staff of 50+ of a very busy concert venue. Through that role, I was able to learn and grow as a person without a doubt.
Aside from all the personal lessons, I was able to see and meet some pretty interesting people and concerts. There are a few that stick out in my mind like Keith Urban, Sugarland (twice!), Rascal Flatts, Trace Adkins etc ...(country fan can't you tell?!) Everyone says that they would love that job and to be honest, they are all right. It is such a great job with such a wonderful group of people, I will without a doubt miss it SO SO much.
We always find ourselves complaining about the small things and never realizing what we have until it's gone. I would not change A THING that has happened in the last six years and I can only hope that this new adventure allows me to have a "family" like I have had at this job.

Saturday IG Recap [3]
A lot of the pictures I posted this week have been shown in previous blogs, so I don't want to bore you with the same things. These are the only two I am left with - better late than never right?
Pretty self explanatory right?
These words ring so true right now!

Countdown: 20 days & three more shifts
Doesn't it seem like when you are really excited for something time goes by so slow? When you're a little nervous or "not as excited", time goes by so fast? That's how I feel about my "Countdown to ship life".
I'm now at 20 days before departure and three more shifts at work. It still hasn't hit my yet and I still haven't done anything that should have been done. Tomorrow is the big "shopping trip" where I will attempt to find luggage, dresses and some shoes. I tend to get side tracked when shopping, I'll go in for one thing and end up finding and buying the complete opposite. At least I will have my mom with me to keep me on the right track!
Some people at work have asked me how I felt about leaving and this whole experience and I really don't have a straight answer for them. I feel like I've "checked out" of work and my mind is elsewhere, even though I LOVE the job. It will be different not seeing concerts every week and weekend but I need to do what I have to do to further myself in life.
I have also started to realize that this is going to be a positive experience for me in the sense that I will learn how to be more independent, grow a back bone (which I've needed to do for years!) and I will get to see and experience things that I may not get to otherwise. Lately at work things have been a little negative and it's at the point where somedays I really don't feel like going in simply just to avoid the negativity. With this in mind, I believe this will be a good change for me and I feel that once in your life you need a positive and major change.
Instead of watching AMC's Fearfest, I should really be doing more productive things like going through my clothes and coming up with "to pack" lists, but Fearfest only happens once a year! Maybe I'm just more nervous than I think I am.

Meet The Blogger
I'm a fairly new blogger and even though I have an "About Me" page, I thought I would share some other facts about myself that will allow you to get to know me, Sarah, a little better.
→ I am Canadian and no, I don't like the snow or the cold, I don't say "eh" a lot and I prefer Starbucks over Tim Horton's.
→ I used to be a competitive dancer of about 19 years (lost count!) and cheerleader. I studies jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, modern, lyrical and hip hop. I have suffered a few minor concussions, broken bones and have horrible wrists and a back. However, I wouldn't trade it for the world and this is my ONLY regret in life - that I had to stop but it is also a goal of mine to get back into it.
→ I am terrified of bugs, mostly spiders. Before bed each night, I have to check my room over for spiders or else I can't sleep - I'm weird, I know.
→ When I was a baby, I used to be in television commercials and I never let my parents live it down that I could have been famous! Not that I really wanted or want to be famous, I just like joking around with them.
→ I would prefer to stay in on a Friday night than go out to a club or bar.
→ I have no idea what I am doing with this blog, I'm just kind of going with the flow. I hope people enjoy what I post and I will try harder than to just post certain things on certain days of the week.
→ I prefer yoga pants and running shoes over jeans and heels, even though I own quite a few pairs of jeans and heels. Just never know when I am going to need them - right?
→ Before bed, I have to watch a movie and have some form of snack. It helps me relax.
→ I always wanted to play hockey but my mom would never let me because "it will ruin your dancing career" ... So much for that dancing career Mom!
→ I will go above and beyond for people and animals. I put other's before me and rarely think about myself. Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes it's not - just who I am I guess.
→ I am a klutz even though I spent years in the dance studio. I tend to spill or drop something on a daily basis.
→ I have been told I look like Adele, Kaley Cuoco and Scarlett Johanssen (I don't believe any of them)
→ I tend be sarcastic at times which really doesn't help when I'm first meeting people.
→ I am a picky eater! Usually when I order a sandwich of some sort, it just has mayo on it. I don't eat vegetables except for cucumbers, tomatoes and corn (if they even count!) and I don't like seafood.
→ LOVE scary movies!
Five on Friday - v.9
Happy Friday everyone! Hope everyone had a good week. My week was okay, uneventful. Today I woke up with the worst throat and ear ache so I decided to take the night off of work. The last thing I need is to be sick for my departure date.
As usual, I am linking up with A Liz Adventures for todays post.
O N E ~~ "The Conjuring" came out on Blu Ray and on VOD on Tuesday & of course, it has already been rented. I found this movie to be terrifying - maybe because it's a true story but I absolutely love this movie and could not wait for it to come out. Now, to get over to the store and buy it ...
T W O ~~ When you have a problem, the first step is admitting it right? Well my name is Sarah and I have an online & general shopping addiction. I find shopping online a little bit easier since there is more selection and you really can find the best deals. I ordered a few things and some of them have come in, just waiting on one more package! It also feels like Christmas morning when something comes in.

This is the Free People sweater I mentioned a while ago. I am actually surprised that it fits me. I've never ordered anything from FP before so I was a bit nervous. The fit is true to size and it's actually quite heavy, heavier than I thought actually. It will pair nicely with a pair of skinnies or leggings, flats or maybe some ankle booties.
You've heard me mention them before and probably will again but my Cut and Run London Dreamcatcher necklace came in. I'm not a huge jewelry fan, however, when I saw this I fell in love. When I was younger, my mom and grandma used to tell me about dreamcatchers and what they represent. So when I saw this and thought that I will need some jewelry with me on the ship, I definitely had to order it.
Browsing on Pinterest is never a good idea for me either. I came across this Victoria's Secret sweater and - it was on SALE! How could I not? It's a very light pink and black and a light material, so of course, I can take it on the ship with me. In the package, they sent the Winter Style Guide. Boy, am I glad I do not have to invest in any winter clothes this year or else, I would go broke!
This is the last thing, I swear! Again, another FP purchase. I was having a hard time finding maxi dresses now, since everything is now winter-ized so when I saw this, again, fell in love. When I shop now I have to think of "can it come with me on the ship" and it can. May even wear this my first day on board!
T H R E E ~~ The weather has been crazy lately! Hasn't helped my head much but it makes for beautiful pictures doesn't it?
F O U R ~~ 24 days until my birthday!! It will be my first birthday away from home too.
F I V E ~~ I'll be posting another two posts today so please check them out :)
Enjoy your weekend!

So What Wednesday [3]
Hope everyone had a good hump day! This week I'm say "So what" with Shannon and here is what's on my mind.
"So What" If...
☆ I joined the BBM for iPhone bandwagon. It will be easier for me to keep in touch when I am away
☆ My tv channel hasn't changed from AMC Fearfest. Only happens once a year!
☆ I am having a difficult time finding a Halloween costume. I would actually like to be covered and I don't feel like spending $70-90 on something I will wear for one night
☆ I hate my new driver's license picture - doesn't everyone?
☆ I still haven't done anything to prepare for my new journey. Well, okay I lied a little. I called my insurance company and saw the doctor for the things I needed. Other than that, nothing, nadda!
☆ I really don't care about Kim & Kanye getting engaged. And, in my opinion, he could have done A LOT BETTER on the proposal idea
☆ I screamed out loud in sadness when I saw the "S" word coming down today (snow!)

GUILTY PLEASURE: Pumpkin cheesecake and a candy apple from the pumpkin patch

Five on Friday - v.8
Sorry for yet another late edition of FOF. I have had a very busy and very fun day! I am making the time, which counts for something right? As usual, I am linking up with A Liz Adventures for this edition.
O N E // Thanksgiving - This past Monday we celebrated our Thanksgiving. We had a very nice family dinner and spent some quality time with everyone. We usually have the traditional turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and all the other fixins'. It was absolutely delicious and of course, there were lots of left overs. I had a lot to be thankful for this year, as I do every year. It was nice being able to spend this holiday with my family.
T W O // Pumpkin Patch - Today we were able to make it over to the pumpkin patch. It used to be a family tradition and then once my brother and I grew up, we sort of stopped going. Just up until recently we made it our tradition again. We pick out our pumpkins, which usually takes a while since we can never make up our mind on just one. We then enjoy a nice lunch and then hit the activities that they have. Once we got home, we ended up carving our pumpkins which usually ends up being a competition between my brother and I.
T H R E E // I ended up changing my end date at work. I was originally going to finish November 3rd, however, I thought I should just finish up the month and then spend the extra time with family. On Thursday night I had to work and my brother and dad were both off and at home watching the hockey game. It was a perfect night as well because it was rainy and cold. While I was getting ready for work, it hit me that I won't be able to enjoy these nights soon so I should get them in while I can. After I realized that, I decided I needed to change my end date. However, I am sitting here writing this and I don't even feel like going into work these next few shifts. I think I have just "checked out".
F O U R // Countdown is now at 27 days!!
F I V E // AMC Fear Fest -- Is there anything better this time of year??
Have a great weekend ya'll :)
